Season Long Awards

The Golf Tour of Greater Philadelphia's season-long awards are based on a "money list" system similar to that used by the PGA Tour.  Players earn "GTGP Dollars" (GTGP$) based on their finish each week, and depending on the "purse" for the specific event.  All GTGP events have a pre-determined purse, with the major events and season-ending Tour Championship being worth the most.  The purse for each event may be found on the tour schedule page

A money distribution table has been developed to provide more information about the distribution of money for each event.

GTGP$ are allocated at the conclusion of each event.  Ties split money (e.g. in a three-way tie for second, each player receives one-third of the total money for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places combined), and any player finishing lower than 50th receives the same money as 50th place.   Tiebreaking procedures used to determine weekly awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (based on a match of scorecards) are not used for determining the GTGP$ won in an event.

Several awards are given at the conclusion of the season, including:

Money List Champion Player earning the most GTGP$ during the main season
Money List Runner-Up Player earning the second most GTGP$ during the main season
Money List Third Place Player earning the third most GTGP$ during the main season
Net Club Champion Player with the lowest 36-hole net score in the GTGP Tour Championship
Gross Club Champion Player with the lowest 36-hole gross score in the GTGP Tour Championship
Most Improved Golfer Player with the most improved handicap index, as calculated according to the recommendations in Appendix H of the USGA Handicap Manual (minimum of 10 events played)

Note: All awards are applied as credit for future events and are credited to players account. To qualify for season-long awards, a player must play in a minimum of ten events during that season.
